I am so sad to see this, I absolutely loved Mrs. Beard, and she knew it, and loved me back. Whether it was in class, if I stopped by her house, or just running into her at the store, she hugged me and always said how glad she was to see me. (And I was just as happy to see her) . When my mom called her to tell her I had cancer, she was a wonderful source of support and love, periodically checking in to see how my family was doing, letting us know she cared...always. Whether by phone, or mail, we kept in touch and she always was up for a spirited conversation, recalling the fun memories and years gone by. I will miss her always.
