Mom taught me to sew after getting tired of sewing all the patches on my Scout uniform. Today, I'm using that skill to sew a mask during the pandemic. Thanks Mom, we miss you.
She sent me to typing class one summer just to get me out of the house. Years later when I was in a school for computer programmers, all the other guys were using two finger hunt and peck. I was way ahead of all the competition.
Mom created and gave me a binder full of her recipes that she used to cook for the family. Ring Tum Ditty for Friday dinners, Macaroni Beef Skillet Supper for midweek dinners...I am grateful for her sharing cooking for those many years, even though cooking wasn't her favorite pastime.
