Asbury and I had two connections through playing music.  We were both members of the John Marshall H.S. Cadet Band, and we also played together in King Edward and the BD's, one of Richmond's top soul bands.  Besides being an excellent musician, Asbury was a good man.  His dry wit made him one of the funniest people I ever knew.  All my sympathy to his family and many friends.  RIP, Asbury.
