Aroxy Mesropian, formerly Aroxy Basmajian, married to Leon Mesropian for 58 years, mother of 2 children, grandmother of 5 children, great-grandmother of 2 children, passed away January 27, 2019. Life long Arlington, MA resident. Graduate of Arlington High School, Harvard University, and Tufts University. Taught at the Massachusetts Hospital School in Canton and Arlington Public Schools for many years. Loved art, listening to classical music with her husband, particularly operas. After retiring from teaching, she worked part time at Filene’s in Belmont, MA. Funeral will be held in private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
