I am sad to learn of Andy's passing. Helen and he were constant smiling fixtures at the ever popular tennis and computers (who knew such a combination could exist!!) store, Winners Circle! I wish Helen some peace during this difficult time.
Andy was a good and consistent friend over the past 12+ years. He never succeeded in getting me to join him at Burning Man, though he came close once or twice! But he did get me to go with him to hear the Village People in Sacramento! He came to hear my band compete in San Francisco too. He was always up for an adventure, with that gleam of mischief in his eyes! I will miss him.
Over 30 years ago, I walked into the first Winners Circle computer store on Telegraph, resume in hand, no experience in retail and minimal with computers. Nonetheless, Andy took a chance on me and I was part of the family. I will always be grateful for his kindness and friendship. We had lots of fun, sold lots of computers, and had great and loyal customers. It feels like only yesterday.
Andy was warm, talented, caring and delightful- A winner in the circle of our lives, and in many others. He generously shared his wisdom and experience. He was a friend, one of a kind, and will be greatly missed by Ralph and me, and many others. Sending blessings to Helen and family.
