Amy was such an inspiration in the dog community. I have so many great memories of her but the stand out would be the two dogs i had to co-sign for her because no one wanted to offer a competitive dog to her in her 80's. She was greatly loved and respected. Run free Amy. I am sure all your dogs that have gone on before you have already greeted you. Yours was a life well lived!
I was so honored to have the pleasure of Amy‘s company while traveling together to agility and obedience trials over many years. She was so adored loved and respected as well as an incredible inspiration and an icon in the agility and obedience communities. She will forever remain in our hearts as “Amazing Amy”.
Amy was a very special lady who lived a long full life - Our family was lucky enough to have known her for the last two years of her life as my wonderful wife Mary spent 24 hours a day seven days a week with Amy - Amy’s final years were filled spending time with her dogs Joy and Sarah while watching cowboy movies and competitive dance - Another favorite was watching dog shows and had some her own competitions with her Sheltie Joy to watch on YouTube - She enjoyed going for a ride and doing a little shopping - Over the last few months she discovered Engelbert Humperdinck and spent countless hours tapping her feet to his music - One thing though Amy couldn’t fathom that Engelbert had aged and insisted that older Engelbert was actually his father - Over the last three days she slept and would only respond to basic questions about her needs and gladly felt no pain - As Mary sat with Amy holding her hand over those last hours Amy was still rockin to Engelbert while tapping her fingers to the music - Amy will be missed by all that knew her
