Jake and I were very good friends since we first met and became room mates at Cornell University. Despite the distance between Lexington and Toronto, we maintained a relationship over the years through telephone and Facebook. Despite his illness, Jake never lost his sense of humour and continued to offer support and advice until shortly before he passed.
