I am a bit late with this tribute having just heard the news about Allan. He was a great guy and will be sorely missed. I always remember his intelligence and keen insight into business problems. While a tough boss, he mentored many people and made a very important contribution to the company. He definitely had his finger on the pulse of the entire business.
