I met Alice Dekker in 1999, when I first attended a meeting of Sydney B. Mitchell Iris Society. I was very interested in old iris, but had never gone to a flower club meeting and felt pretty shy. Alice and Chuck were so welcoming and friendly, I came back. Go in peace, Alice.
