Personal Inquiry: I remember Rose Wanket very well. She was my Aunt. My grandmother , Mary M. Krause was her sister who helped raise me. I am Mary Krauses grandson. I never personally met Achiel I was much younger when Aunt Rose would visit my grandmother. Aunt Rose always spoke highly of Achiel even if he wasn't there. I sent out some emails and text messages this last week , June 1 st 2022 attempting to contact some Wanket family members in the Southeast Michigan area and I havent gotten any replies. My mother Bernadette Ogden , Mary Krauses daughter, has been having health issues and I have been attempting to reach out to relatives in this area from my grandmother's side of the family. Hello everyone. Are you by any chance related to Rose Wanket or Sally Cieslinski? I dont know if you remember Mary Krause ( Rose Wankets sister) but I am Mary Krauses grandson. My name - Dan Krause. My mother is Mary Krauses daughter-Bernadette Ogden. We both live in the north Dearborn Heights area and i am living with her. Many of you and other relatives were at my grandmother's funeral when she passed away in December 1991. A couple weeks later Rose passed away. I know it seems out of the ordinary for me to contact you like this but my mother hasnt been feeling to good the last year and a half. She is 89 now. She retired from work in 2014. The last 2 years she has been having short term memory problems. Her long term memory is good but shes very forgetful. Shes had in home therapies for minor reasons on and off since retirement and she was doing ok. This last May 7, 2022 she fell in our kitchen and fractured her left hip. She had surgery on Mothers day. On Monday next night she was discharged for facility rehab. The procedures there weren't very good so I was able to get her discharged to do her rehab in home. She is basically healed from the surgery ( they put a pin in her hip) and has been getting physical and occupational therapies at home the last 4 weeks. However she is afraid to stand and afraid to walk. She has a transport chair for in the house. I took time off from my afternoon job-4 weeks to monitor and caregive for her. I have a couple from her church bring her communion on Sundays. I will probably have to go back to work at the end of July and she really wont have any mental stimulation if she is at home by herself. She really gets more exhausted by not having conversation than by physical activity. Up till she retired her health was between her and her doctors I wasn't involved but as time has gone on I have had to take on that task. She likes people. She liked working with people at Oakwood Hospital and she liked the patients. After she retired she had a small social structure of visitors to our house week to week. As the pandemic first started everything stopped and her visitors stopped coming by. At that point she just started to fold up inside. After my grandmother passed away it seems like the family network spread out and was not as connected at least not like she made things with Rose and their other sister Anna. Do any of you know of any family members ( or even younger family members) in the area that would be willing to visit with her? Is there anybody within the family that does any kind of caregiver/ sitter work that might be interested in spending time with my mom? Just to let you know I got your email address online on the BeenVerified.com website. I found your name(s) according to Rose Wankets name. My email is: berlinwarsaw1@gmail.com My cell phone number is: 3139863926. Thank you, Dan Krause
