I am shocked and beyond saddened to learn of Vickie's passing.  Her writing had a profound effect on me. She was a tremendously insightful and sensitive human being. And,  so funny too! I will always remember Vicky for her generosity, her kindness and gentle but indomitable spirit in all she faced with dignity and passion.  And she loved her family so much. I loved her. Be forever proud.
