He died peacefully May 10, 2016 with family at his side. Early in his life he was considered an icon in the Hairdressing field. Sal owned beauty colleges,invented beauty related products. He traveled the world and authored books; enriching his life and the lives of many others. His 7 children & big family miss him.

Sal was the first to cut off my curls! He took me on my first Ferris Wheel ride and rocked it when we were at the top-scared the heck out of me! Took me on my first trip to the snow. Shared his home when I attended business college. Discussed politics and religion-said I was stubborn! Shared many holidays & Don & I were married at Sal & Joanne's home.So many memories!
