Phil was one of the first lawyers I met when I started practicing law in Lawrence.  We shared a friendship for many years.  Phil had a passion for the law and was respected by all.  He will be greatly missed by the legal community.

Phil and his brother Harry were dear friends to me and our mutual friend Alan Halpern growing up in Haverhill and the Byers in Lawrence. Our mothers were childhood friends. I am sad to have heard of Phil’s passing and send my condolences to his family and brother Harry. I knew Phil as a kind soul and dear friend. May his memory be a blessing. David Katz

I just learned that Phil passed. We were in the class of 1967 at LHS and shared many classes together. Phil was an amazing writer and hope he was able to finish a novel or two.He was gifted in so many ways and always brightened my day with his wit and laughter. He was so successful in so many ways and I know he has left a huge legacy with his wife,children, and grandchildren. I am sad
