I’m really sorry to hear this. I visited Patric several times and got to know her quite well. She gave her hugely significant computer art collection to the American Friends of the V&A, and they passed it on to the museum a few years later. Patric also donated her extensive archive of books, papers and correspondence. As such, she played a major role in establishing the V&A’s computational art collection. Patric will be hugely missed, but her collection will continue to be studied, exhibited and appreciated for decades to come!
Patric and I first met the early 2000s, as part of the CACHe project at Birkbeck, of which I was a member. As a female art historian she was an inspiration to me and I am grateful for her support of my work researching computer art histories. We had fun times and many discussions over lunches in London and California. She was a great Anglofile and loved British history. Will be much missed.
