Monica was an amazing artist, designer, photographer, traveler, and friend.  She had an adventurous, independent, and creative spirit that left an immense impact on everyone that spent time with her.  I am so shocked and saddened to hear about her passing but grateful to have known her as well as I did.  Thank you Monica.  -- Matt Hollis

Monica and I met freshman year at Berkeley. We all became close friends, many of us in Norton Hall. Monica was a luminous, kind, and happy person. She was weirdly smart, even for Berkeley, and at the same time the nicest person imagninable. And beautiful.
