Words cannot describe Ole Mick, one of the kindest, funniest , P.I.T.A’s I have ever met. Heart of Gold! Loved that man. For the record Mick, still don’t like you and I know the feeling is mutual. I know you are smiling giving Teddy so many treats and eating whatever the hell you want. Love ya Mick.

Uncle Mickey! A lifetime of being part of the “Farkel” family as one of the “homely, Ugly & lonely” sisters has been an honor. Thank you for all the memories & for selling me my first house! It’s been an amazing ride! No one can fill your shoes! You will be missed. Love you. Xoxo

Uncle Mick, Heaven better be prepared for your energy! You were always larger than life. That is how I will always remember you.Truly one of a kind. Rest peacefully knowing we'll take care of Aunt Donna down here. You're in good hands with some of the other great ones who left us too early. Sending my love to you and all of the family. xoxo

I first met Mickey during my Batman Days in 88-91. He always had a cheerful heart and always remembered all he met. He always had a smile, a joke, or something to help others. No matter what. He is and forever will be an inspiration to so many.
Rest well, my friend. You deserve it.

The first time I met Mickey he pulled me over in my Corvette for running A red light in downtown Lowell. “ I can tow this thing.  Do you know what happens when they tow these"?.
I owned Jerry's food Store, Mickey was a regular for coffee.  He remembered and loved to talk & laugh about it.  “I didn’t give you a ticket”  Rest well my friend.

Anything I can say would pale in comparison to the way the people of this city felt about Mickey, wonderful man and neighbor, he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers to Donna and their boys

I was absolutely blessed to know Mickey personally and professionally for decades. Every time i saw the man we had incredible laughs. I witnessed his caring generosity and compassion too many times to count. Even when discussing someone who had criminal dealings he would say “He’s a good kid, just having a hard time”.God bless his family and rest easy champ!!

Mickey was such a kind, caring man who opened his door to those in need, especially children. At the Brady, COC and Molloy Schools, he dropped in, spoke to the students and offered them alternates to stay in line like boxing and wrestling after school. He arranged for Mickey Ward to visit the kids. They spoke to the students with encouragement and stories of changing ways. God bless XXXOOO

As i was growing up, i first met Mickey when i was maybe 13 years old. At the time i was trying to break into Omar's cafe on Charles St. It was 03:30 in the morning. Mickey was driving by in his squad car and he stopped on the spot. There in a dimly lit alley he somehow spotted me, a 100 pound kid trying to do something i shouldn't have been doing. He got out of his car and walked up to me

He put a gentle beating on my life the father i never had would have. He walked away and so did I. I wish i was reformed at that point. Leter on in 1986 when i was 20, i encountered him again. He and Busby were patrolling back Central when they spotted me and a friend 20:30, dark park. I said freind, i am running. The two caught us quickly as we tried to run away. They said "Because you ra

Because you ran we arrest" I said a profanity and for the second time i felt Mickey's punches. He was on me like a seasoned boxer on a bag. He must have punched me twenty time when Bill Busby said ENOUGH. You know, when them Four Lowell Officers died at Peggy's cove, all i wanted to do was to shake Mickey's hand. Especially for Donald Brill. Brill was like Mickey, a hallmark for the youth
