I had the honor of knowing Bill many years ago, when he worked security at the old Metropolitan Hospital. There are many things that could be said about him, all good, but the one that comes foremost to mind is that he was a True Southern Gentleman!
God Bless!
Sgt. Blaylock was one of my first supervisors upon joining the Department. A down to earth country boy who was more interested in your success than his. I enjoyed every minute I had the privilege of spending with him. I shall surely miss his attendance at the Retired Police Officer luncheons. He was always a big supporter and always had an encouraging word to give you. RPD was blessed.
I met Bill and Paula in the spring of 2017 when we moved into their neighborhood. Jack and I had the pleasure of a Christmas party dinner at their home this past December. Despite his physical ailments Bill was always upbeat and witty. A very charming gentleman with a wife who adored him. We will miss him; such a sweet spirit.
