Shirley was one of the sweetest most caring people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I know where Cory gets it from now. The last time I saw her and Crystal she came up gave me a big hug and the first thing she asked me is how is your mom doing? Always concerned about others. My son looked forward to seeing her when she would come to the apartments to see Cory. She had a heart of gold.
My sisters and I were stunned and saddened to hear about Shirley. Shirley was one of the caregivers for our brother, Jim Shipp, who had Parkinson's and he always enjoyed her company. She had a good way with him and always made him laugh. She spoke often of her children and we extend our deepest condolences to Cory and Crystal and all of Shirley's family.
Make New Friends but keep the Old, one is Silver and the other is Gold!
And Shirley is Both Silver and Gold!
Will Miss You Dearly,
Alison
I just learned about Mrs. Owens's passing today. Rest in peace sweet lady. Thanks for the wisdom, the laughs and allowing me to be an educator to your daughter.
