What a wonderful lady! She always greeted me with a big smile and a hug. She was one of the pillars of Eagle River-Chugiak area. Always active in community affairs and so supportive of us kids in our endeavors in school activities. I will always remember her being one of the voices in bringing us a high school in Chugiak. I would visit her at the Chugiak Pioneer home.

So much energy, so much passion; she will be missed! She was so supportive of all of Leslie, Randy, Merry and Bart's friends...to the end when she would even come to the CHS reunions. What a gem.

Mrs. Mauldin was a very special person in my and my family's life. She was a very talented woman who painted the backdrops for the Lions Park and I believe also for the Eagle River Theater. My love and prayers go out to her family and close friends who knew and loved her as well. Shirl loved her family wholeheartedly.  She knew her LORD well and lived her life as CHRIST'S LOVING example.
