A Celebration of Her Life will be held Sat. Feb. 20, at the El Sobrante United Methodist Church, 670 Appian Way, El Sobrante at 1:00 p.m. with a reception immediately following. All are welcome. We have great memories of our friendship with Shirley. She was our son's teacher for two years in a "fully immersed" gifted program that included so many special field trips for her students. In recent years we enjoyed bumping into each other at many events in and around Pinole. We will miss her! Blessings to her family, Claudine and Larry Hughes

I am saddened to hear of Shirley's passing. She was a good friend. I had great fun playing tennis with her in Pinole. Joe & I went on our first cruise with her and Ken. Such wonderful memories! She also volunteered to tutor my daughter during one summer. Thanks you Shirley! My prayers and thoughts go to you Ken, Bria and Mark. She will be missed by many in the Pinole area.
