So sorry to hear of his passing.  Enjoyed working with him doing ALPA work.  Remember we were in DC once and he took me to "his memorial", the new, at the time, Korean War Memorial.  It was a very moving experience for him and then for me.   That is where we both saw the inscription "Freedom is not free".

Dick always had concern for the safety and working conditions of the rank and file.  He gave his time to achieve this.  He was a true pilot in the tradition of Western Airlines.
We who are Wallybirds will sincerely miss such a great guy!  One of a kind!

In additioon to his contribution to Air Safety and his love of flying, Dick was the glue that kept our Western pilots in communication. He was a good friend to all . We will certainly miss him.

When I would sign in and saw Dick I knew it would be a good trip.
He was always a gentleman.
I am truly sorry for your loss

I'm so sorry to hear about Dick's passing. I worked with him for almost 5 years on many special programming projects. I was always impressed by his knowledge and dedication in learning how to do software development. He was always quick in understanding new techniques. I missed him when I moved back east. I wish I kept in better touch. My wife and I send our sympathies to you, Mary - Art
