Coach Douglas was someone I thought of many times since she last coached me as a high school player at IHS. She lead us to victory and was a coach ahead of her time. She treated me differently and knew exactly how to inspire me. I truly respected her. I am sad I will never get the chance to thank her. I will keep her close instead. Thanks Coach...

I had the honor of being coached by 'Doug' for 4 years at IHS. She saw in me what I didn't. I have oftentimes reflected on that over the past 30+ years, digging deeper when uncertain, fearful, and or lacking confidence. Yes I fondly remember Coach Douglas! I graduated in 1984 from IHS, had her many times throughout....I think the first time i had her was 9th grade- Square dancing! HA!! YUP! we did that back then, LOL! She always had a great smile on her face would pleasantly say hi and remembered everyone. Great lady, she inspired many as she brought alot to the P.E. team at IHS.
