Love and condolences to Ruth, Ben, Bob and all of their dear family. I cherish fond memories of Ray and Ruth from being neighbors at Mercer to the Glad River congregation.

I am sad to learn of the passing of Dr. Ray Brewster. He was my professor when I was a freshman at Mercer University back in 1991. He and Mrs. Brewster welcome me not only as a new student to the area but into their family. During my last year at Mercer, they invited over to their home. We had dinner and made egg rolls together. When I didn’t go home for Thanksgiving one year, they invited me to share Thanksgiving with their children and grandchildren. After lunch we went to the visit Macon Indian Mound and I had an opportunity to spend the day with their family. They made an impression on my life during my early college years. I will always treasure those memories and I will miss his sweet and kind-hearted nature. Thank you Dr. Brewster for showing how you care to a young college kid like me. You had made a difference in my life. Ruth I love you and I am thinking about you. I hope we stay in touch.
