Naomi Julia Correia, 37, of San Jose, CA, passed away on January 19, 2020 unexpectedly at home.

She was born July 12, 1982 in San Jose, CA, daughter of Morey Correia and Judith Esther Carlsen Correia.

Preceded in death by her mother, Judith Esther Carlsen Correia, when Naomi was 4 yrs. old.

Naomi is survived by her father Morey Correia, step-mother Kathy Correia, her two sons Julian and James Delagnes, sister Leah Correia, half-sisters Jennifer Correia, Alesha Correia Marquez, step-brother Jacob Correia, step-sister Jenelle Sequeira, Grandparents Julian & Gilda (Romero) Carlsen of San Jose CA, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her dearly.

Naomi was raised in San Jose where she lived with (or next door to) her grandparents for most of her life. She graduated in 2000 from Oak Grove High School in San Jose CA, then attended Evergreen Valley College. In 2003 she started her career as a crewmember at Trader Joe’s store #74 in Daly City. Throughout her journey with Trader Joe’s she was promoted to a Mate supervisor position where she continued to grow with the company.  Her dedication and hard work ethic was loved by all her fellow crew members. She loved her job, the people she worked with and the second family she had at store #207 Palo Alto. Naomi’s journey with Trader Joe’s was where she met Nick Delagnes, started a family and made lifelong friends.

Naomi never passed up an opportunity to have fun. She had a passion for skydiving, snowboarding, travelling to numerous music festivals and concerts. She loved sharing these activities with her friends, cousins and sister. She was a sweet and caring person who had a big smile, contagious laugh, witty personality, an affectionate soul, and most importantly a heart of gold.

Her sons Julian and James were the highlight of her life. Days at the beach with her sons and their dog Bentley (her first baby) was her favorite pastime. She filled their days with playdates at the park, bike rides up and down the street, and trips to Happy Hollow or the Pumpkin Patch. Naomi will be sorely missed by all.
