Margaret Ann Dorsett, age 76 of Northfield, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 31, 2018 with her loving family by her side.

Margaret Ann Doll Dorsett was born September 1, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to George and Margaret (Nolan) Doll.  Following her education she worked at Bell Telephone Company when she met the love of her life. On May 11, 1963, Margaret married James Dorsett Jr.,
After marriage they made their home in the Philadelphia area before moving to York, PA in  1972.  In 1984 they moved to Florida, finally settling in their dream home in the Tampa area.   After her loving husband, James, passed away in May 2005 and Margaret remained in the Tampa area until moving to Northfield, Minnesota, in 2013.   Margaret loved gardening, playing tennis, spending time with her grandchildren and making every occasion and holiday special for her family.  Margaret also loved perusing real estate magazines & attending "open houses" for ideas & enjoyment. As a mother, wife & grandmother, she was selfless her quest to care for the family she created.
Survivors include her children James Dorsett III of New Port Richie, Fl, Tracy (Gregg) Giza of Northfield, Kimberly Dorsett of Winter Springs, FL, Amy Dorsett of Northfield, Christina Dorsett of Northfield; 10 grandchildren; other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brothers Albert and George Doll.

Margaret will be interred with her husband at Trinity Memorial Park in Trinity, Florida.  Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Arrangements are with the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home.

I have no words to express just how much you will be missed.  You were an amazing selfless Mother and we had SO many great times. You were such an integral part of my girls lives and that is something I will cherish forever.  You were so strong during these last few years- know that you are loved. You are in my everyday. I love and miss you mom! It has been such a tough couple of years with lots of treatments and pain but also a lot of great times. I am so grateful to spend so much time together as a family through all the good and difficult times! I don't know how I will get through not seeing your beautiful face all the time! You are a  wonderful mother, grandmother & friend!

Its during time like these one must cherish and not dwell on what was lost but what that had brought to the present.
  I miss you everyday more then what some may are always in my thoughts. I love and cherish all the memories I have with you. Its sad that such a strong woman got taken down by a never ending battle that allowed her to be surrounded by all the things she loved and all the things that brought her joy. You will now get to rest in peace with your beloved husband and be cherished by all your family no matter what.  Also know while you're in heaven you already know that you will be a grandmother of 10 and will be able to watch them all grow up and you will be incorporated in all there lives.
