My Mom was my best friend. Losing her was the deepest pain I have ever felt in my life. I did not want her to go but God called her home. She told me not to be sad when she was gone. She said I will never be faraway. I will always be close by you and Charlene. See you on the other side Mama.

She made oodles of noodles for me and James one day on Rainey Road.  They were the best noodles ever.  After we decided we just couldn't figure out what flavor they were, we finally asked her and she said "oh shit I forgot to put the flavoring in them!"  She had put butter, salt and pepper in them.  I'll never forget that.

I'm blessed to have been a part of Lillian's life. A funny, sweet, carefree soul who loved life and spending time with family.

I remember one day she was being grouchy. I was listening to If Heaven Ain't A Lot Like Dixie by Hank Williams, Jr. Granny said "you always listening to these songs about Dixie, and your ass ain't never even been to Dixie"!!! I said "Granny! my ass ain't never been OUT of Dixie.

Nancy, In all the years we have known each other do you realize that I never met your mother?  I wish I had.  I want you to know that I have never seen a daughter more loving than you, and I think you are just wonderful for the love and care you have given to your mom.  Your mom is in you, she created a very special person.  Love you.  Wish I could be there.
