4 years ago when we moved to Northfield we had the privilege of meeting a man named Leyton Fossum. I particularly felt a spiritual connection to him because he reminded me so much of my mom. You see he had a very similar cancer and surgery as what my mom also suffered from. Leyton was full of compassion, love and had a deep faith in the Lord. He and I would talk about our faith and how important i
it is to love one another. He would do just about anything for someone in need. I just had breakfast with him a couple of months ago. My friend passed into the arms of Jesus yesterday. My heart is sad for his family who he loved so much and all the hundreds of friends he cared for. I will miss seeing him. I hate cancer, and the devastation it brings, the lives it steals and the pain it brings
My prayer goes to his family for comfort and peace and I lean on my own faith that Leyton is now with Jesus in total peace and joy. Maybe he is talking with my mom right now. I love you Leyton. I am so grateful that I was allowed to know you and I will never forget your beautiful smile, gentleness and strong love for the Lord. Until we see eachother again my dear friend. Keep praying!
When Layton opened the door to our shop, in blew sparks of hope! Layton was the most positive person, I have ever met. He hit every challenge with optimism, and shared it enthusiastically with every person he met. His smile was contagious. He was such an example of goodness. A friend to all, he truly had no enemies. We will miss him! He left too soon!
