Very sorry to hear about Joel. When I moved here in 1994, I met Joel at Beth El during High Holy Days. He was singing in the choir. I knew nobody here and Joel welcomed me as a Brooklyn Boy to a Brooklyn Boy. We knew each other instantly. We have kept in touch since then via email and occasional phone calls. We last talked in November.   I will miss his smile, humor, and great hugs.  David
