I will miss Gale, didn't see him as often as I would have enjoyed, we shared a love of bridge and reading, particularly certain authors. Gale was a great conversationalist on a wide range of subjects.  Infectious laugh would greet you as you met Gale and got to know him.  Safe travels Gale as you move on thru your next adventure.  I will miss you as will all with whom you shared your life.

Mr. Matheny was one of my favorite teachers in Prince George, VA.  I always talk about his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor.  May he rest in peace and may the Holy Spirit comfort his family during this time of mourning.

Mr. Matheny was my favorite teacher, I always looked forward to his class and his sense of humor, his knowledge and of course the way he related to all of his students.  He will be greatly missed.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the family

I am who I am today in large part due to Mr. Matheny's influence on me in high school. He was a great teacher and mentor.  He taught his students to always question and that was especially true for our government.  But he encouraged all to educate yourself on the facts and not to take his or anyone's version of the facts. I'm in politics and policy now because of him. #bestteacherever
