I am so sorry to learn about his passing. I was his junior resident back at UCLA Neurology, he is a very kind and gentle man, always patient with me. He is one of the most brilliant doctor I have come across, while we are always just listening to the attendings, he is always challenging them with quotes and papers. He has always been my favorite mentor!

I attended high school with Ned.  He was such a lovely and decent guy.  I was very sorry to hear of his passing but not at all surprised to read about his many professional accomplishments.  He clearly lived an exemplary life.
