I am so very sorry to hear this news about Dave.  Growing up I remember him in school whistling down the halls and this was elementary school- I always remember thinking, wow what a happy go lucky guy.  I’ve run into him a few times of the past several years and he still brought that infectious energy described in his obituary He was a very special man, I’m truly so sorry for your loss.
