Hello from Lucille Angell Soukup. I sang with Charlotte at Grace Baptist Church when I was in high school and college. Charles Troxell was my teacher and he wanted me to learn from her. I still hear things and sing them the way she sang them. She was a good friend to me. The whole Troxell family meant a great deal in my life. I am so glad she had so many good years.
Such a bright light, such an amazing and upbeat woman. I had the privilege of caring for her and in all those years I never once heard her utter a single complaint no matter the circumstances. The entire staff loved her monthly visits- she truly brightened our days. I will never forget her loving smile and will forever keep her in my heart.

I was privileged to sing in a group called Heartstrings with Charlotte for many years. Her magnificent voice brought joy to so many people & she is greatly missed.
I met Charlotte Troxell on a tour of the Virginia State Capitol while studying history in college. Speaking with her made me want to become a guide and share history with others. Today I work with 16 Capitol guides who continue the tradition of welcoming visitors that Charlotte exemplified during 27 years of public service. Her personable tour style and enthusiasm remain legendary.
