Alice gave me some of the best advice I have ever recived in 1994 during a lunch together in Santa Cruz, "you dont have to become your mother".  Alice was a wonderful mother, she cared for her children and wished them the best, we should all be so blessed.  What an exceptional life and a kind generous spirit. Thank you for everything you gave to the world, you were and are an inspiration.
