Alice was filled with positiveness and smiles and laughter -- always looking on the bright side of things.  She loved her home and her daughters.  My husband and I were privileged to visit her twice in Carmel in the last 3 years -- enjoying her beautiful garden with her and her lovely home. We will miss her, especially at Christmas Time when we received her hand-written letters.

Alice was so kind to write to me each year at Christmas with news about my Crane cousins in California.  Her letters helped me to feel connected to my cousins even though I live on the other side of the world..  Alice was a very loving and generous person.
