As one engineer to another, I always appreciated Lee's passion for doing whatever he did to the best of his ability and for getting into the details to "make it better".  He would rather rally purposefully than play games of ping pong, because he felt that was the best way to improve.  To date, Lee is my role model for how to age gracefully and live a long and fulfilling life.

Lee was an inspiration, a role model, a boon to his community and a dear friend. We are all better for having had him in our lives. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

Lee Engler was a man who quietly "did the do" in whatever capacity he involved himself in. For me it was playing squash and suggestions to play for the Maugus Club teams I qualified for. It was driving me and others to away matches. I shall always be indebted to Lee for that encouragement. I am sure that our former teammate Lew Holmes joins me in this recognition.

Lee & I met through SCORE in the early 90’s when I was a relatively new entrepreneur seeking direction and guidance. Over the next 20+ years, he was always there for me with his cheerful and direct approach. I will forever treasure my connection with Lee and smile when I think about the star that he was in my life and so many others.  He was one of a kind!
