When I see a firefly I think of him. I remember when he first came to Pennsylvania, he was so excited to see fireflies.

I’ll share stories below.

The most resourceful and knowledgeable neighbor ever.  The fun, upbeat guy who always gave credit to his dear "Tessie"

I will always have loving memories of my Uncle Erwin. He was a Father figure to me. I have many funny, happy childhood memories with him that included, rides on motorcycles, snowmachines, camping, fishing and even my first skateboard. He taught me to drive a car! UErwin was the most patient person I’ve ever known! I’m so glad that he was in my life all those years. I will miss him.

Erwin always "did it his way".  Was a great neighbor for years.  Knew a bit about most anything!!!

Living most of the year in Canada, most of my conversations with Erwin were by phone.  He always made me smile with his take on politics, sports, weather, what was going on around the neighborhood as well as teasing me about some land he had for sale in Alaska!  He was knowledgeable about so many things and was always willing to offer help and advice to both Toby and I!

The first time I saw Erwin, he was 16 riding his Honda through the streets of Nome during a snowstorm. I was pleased to have known him for 60 years. He was a good man and he was always great to my Daughters,  Arianne & Terre.
