I am sorry for the families loss. Edmund always had great words for me and my teams when we talked and when he was walking on the track area or Pearl Hill when I would see him. He will be missed
Seeing this tribute to Dr. Thomas warmed my heart. It is one of the best, most on-point obituaries I've ever read. I was a student at Fitchburg State from 1980 - 1984 and took as many of Dr. Thomas' classes as I could. I had never been a strong History student, but Dr. Thomas helped me see the story behind all the facts and figures. My sympathies to the family--I will remember him fondly.
Dear Dad,
Somewhere out there in this universe. I love you forever. I will remember you always, you are in my heart. Thank you for the good times! Thank you for teaching me compassion towards others. It was the greatest gift. Until we meet again!
I was heartbroken to learn of Dr. Thomas’s passing. Today is “Thank a Teacher Day” and I went to the FSC web page in hopes of leaving a thank you note to Dr. Thomas. He was an extraordinary teacher. He brought history alive. I have a minor in history just because I loved his classes. He took a personal interest in his students ,I shall never forget him. Marianne Morrison Class of ‘81
