I am another musician in the family. Uncle Bob was a great inspiration to me. As a child I remember hearing him play a concert with the great Teddi Wilson, seeing him on TV with the Pops, and later with Eli and the Hot Six. He was always there as a beacon for my music aspirations. His music has brought immense joy to countless, and his teaching will inspire others for generations to come.

Here's to Bob: my musical partner, my mentor, my friend. I still hear his wry and witty comments about life around us even now and the recordings of even our rehearsal efforts are now sacrosanct. He lives on in the music and the work of his students and in the memories of those lucky enough to play with him.
