To the Frick family. My name is Debbie (Thomas) Nelson. When I was a sophomore at Service High I went through a very difficult life change. Mr. Frick was the principal and he was such a tremendous support for me helping me through those difficult times. I have never forgotten him and his compassionate and caring ways. Your family has my sincere sympathies and prayers.

My condolences to the entire Frick family.  Mr. Frick was my Principal for Mt. View Elementary and when I graduated from East High. I went to school with Billy. He was the Principal for 5 of the 7 kids in our family. Wonderful man and I have often thought of him throughout the years. I am glad that he had such a long and wonderful life! In the early ‘80’s Mr. Frick was my Principal at Service-Hanshew.  He always was a wonderful person, and administrator!  He sure went the extra mile for me to help me graduate after returning from a Rotary Exchange program!  I’ve thought about Mr. Frick many times since then, wondering where life took him. Thank you Mr. Frick for truly caring about your students!  It really mattered! Danae

In 1960 I was 13 and was coached in springboard diving by Mr. Frick at Elmendorf AFB. In 1962 he talked my parents into letting me go to the "South 48" to compete on a bigger scale. I came home with Washington and Oregon State junior and senior state championships (in addition to the Alaska ones). He was full of integrity and kindness and I will never forget him! Becky Burnham
