Having known Billy for over 25 years, I have many great memories. We went to dinner many times, and even away on vacations and golfing. He was a one of a kind guy that always was there when I needed him or just wanted to have a drink with. Our good times will forever be in my mind. We will always miss you Billy and am sure you will be entertaining everyone in heaven. RIP my Friend
It's been only 5 days since Billy passed away, but I feel like I haven't seen him in so long. I still expect a text or phone call from him, then I remember. I know he's with our brother John and with our parents now, and I know he's at peace. It just hasn't really sunk in yet.
It warms my heart to read what people are posting about him ... it makes me a little less sad.
Dear Karedes family,
I am sorry to hear the news of Billy's passing. We worked together (in film) and he always spoke with a kind heart and helped us all smile. For sure the world would be a brighter place if more people lived and walked and spoke from such a good hearted place. He will be sorely missed.
My long time teacher and friend said it best, "He owned a piece of your heart. In his passing he gave it back. It is part of your journey now to integrate it. Since meeting him in 1976, our first college year, I have never not loved him and his unique passion for life, Certainly so many others feel the same. LOVE
I am saddened by the loss of Billy "Crash" Karedes, known from my Salem State years. He was one-of-a-kind and was true to himself. I was glad to reconnect via FaceBook after so many years and send heartfelt sorrow to his family on his passing.
So saddened to hear of Billy's passing. I played soccer with Billy at Lynn Classical when he was a Senior Captain and I was a Junior. Bill was a great! competitor and leader on that team. Always had scrimmages with Brother John and his friends. Great times. I later in life worked with Bill when he worked at Watertown Ford and I at Ford Motor Company. Condolences to all who knew him.
