I met Tom on Makena beach (Maui)in 1975. We became friends in Girdwood, then Anchorage later. He was such a bright, funny and genuine guy. So many fond memories so long ago! I have thought of those days many times and he was one of the highlights. It was only a few days ago that he was on my mind. I am saddened to hear this news. My condolences to the family.
