In the 1950s and 60s, I and my younger brother and sister [the Pullens] were part of a gang of kids in the Monroe Tavern neighborhood of Lexington MA.  The Porretti house was a welcoming and fun place to come, eat and hang out.  Ted ("Mr. Porretti" to us kids) was a smiling, welcoming person, a gentle soul  who clearly enjoyed children.  Condolences to all the family.
