Steve was a very big presence in JP. we spent many an afternoon discussing the remodeling of older homes over a pint and Steve's favorite glass of red wine at the Gate . He was witty, clever and had lots of stories .
He allowed myself and friends to use his "secret" speak easy hidden basement to facilitate a pop up roaring 20's old time blind pig party. RIP old friend. Christy Page
Steve would always come into Pluto when I first started working there and was a landlord/apartment seeker to many a pal. He was always supportive and always willing to help and found me an apartment when I got kicked out of my first one back in '94. I loved that he was an eternal figure of JP and think of him fondly driving around in his jeep. He will be missed. Rock on Steve...
Steve and Laureen were so kind when I lived in their beautiful Spring Park house in the early 1990's. Steve introduced me to his cranky, suspenders-wearing plumber one day, A year later, John the plumber and I met again, and Steve was the man I called to ask if John was a serial killer. JP will never be the same without Steve. My heart goes out to Laureen and their beautiful children.
