Shirley had warmth and a sparkle like no other! Such a generous and beautiful soul; you always felt loved in her presence. I am grateful to have known her and cherish my handwritten copy of her sauerkraut soup recipe. She was a blessing in this world and will live forever in many hearts.
My wife Kathryn and I knew Shirley from our friend Cece Morrison, who worked with her at Providence for many years. We sailed together in 2008 on a trip the nurses took to San Diego, then enjoyed her hospitality before an Alaska trip to Denali and cruise we took in 2010 (see 2 pics posted). We will never forget her generosity and warmth in sharing her home and knowledge with us.
