Roberta was a mentor and lifelong friend who first taught me about my body when I took a yoga class at Cabrillo in 1971. She was always encouraging with a kind word and positive outlook. I remember her Shiat-soup suppers with hot tub and foot massage, What heaven! In these last years I was able to take her for a Shiatsu which we enjoyed together. Loved her and miss her!
Roberta, what a force of nature! She took a chance on so many of us & through the opportunities that she offered us & her adventurous risk-taking with many of us, we could discover ourselves. She helped us all. It was her gift to see the potential that was not yet manifest. And to encourage us all. Her belief became a bridge. Every day still I think I should call to tell her. So much love.
We are so very sad to learn the news of your passing. We truly enjoyed dropping in to visit you during our camping trips to New Brighton. Farewell our friend, we'll miss you. Any family that would like to reach out, erikaajohnson83@gmail.com The Antonio Family (Flora's Neighbors)
Roberta was my lifelong mentor and friend. She changed my life with her love, insight and Postural Integration, which she incouraged me to do. We worked on each other for years. I became Roberta's TA in yoga, body awarness classes and intensive workshops. Best hot tub parties. She was ahead of her time, but I ended up using her ticket to Dr.Jack Painter's psychosynthesis LSD workshop.
