Thank you Dad for: horseback riding in the Oakland hills, water-skiing at Lake Almanor, making me peanut butter & jelly sandwiches on still warm bakery bread, letting me walk the golf course with you, teaching me how to drive a stick shift (even when I took 10 years off the life of the clutch!), walking me down the aisle on my wedding day, helping Pat & I find our first home & so much more

Dad, I am the person I am today in so many ways because of you. Each and every day, I am grateful that you taught me to be kind, help others, work hard, believe in myself and follow my dreams. You did this in your own special way, and by example. I consider your love one of the greatest gifts I've ever received and that's why you'll forever be with me.

I remember he strayed from all grandparent stereotypes. He drove fast, traveled, took us to the movies, told jokes, danced and hitchhiked all the way to Camp Pendelton from Laguna daily while stationed there. He loved Golf and food especially Gammy’s. I have so many fun memories from summer vacations to Christmas.  You’re very loved Poopy Poppy and will be missed.

My Grandpa Poppy was always smiling. Right there ready to share a funny story, or laugh along with the group. I remember his smile, his hugs, & his laugh. I see the way he loved his family, Diane, Janie & Rob. I got to witness Bob as an amazing Husband, Father, Grandfather & recently a Great Grandfather. He lived a full life. A life that overflowed w/ family, friends & now loving memories.
