Dick and I transferred from the USCSC to the USIA Office of Security within a couple of weeks of one another.  We shared an office initially, and worked together more than 20 years.  Not only was Dick an excellent special agent but as nice a man as one could ever hope to know.  My heart-felt sympathy goes out to Joan and the rest of Dick's family.  Rest in peace, "Old Soldier."
