I was fortunate to meet Dr Johannes through work.  He was a charming, kindly, and brilliant person.  Despite his many talents and achievements, he seemed to me to be absolutely free of any sign of arrogance or pompousness.  His kindness extended not only to people but also to cats.  He was a very good person, gone way too soon.
