Richard Furman was born and raised in Martinez CA. A memorial will be held to celebrate his life on September 15, 2108 at Rankin Park in Martinez CA. from 12:00 noon to 4:00.
Richard was a long time member of our family, married to my sister Maureen for 30 years, but were long time friends before that. My memories consist of trips with them to Cabo and fun times in their new retirement community in Arizona as well as all the fun times in Martinez! He was the best brother in law I could ever ask for.
The joy that Maureen and Richard shared touched my heart. Together they embraced life with gusto. Though I only officially met Richard last summer, he has been in my heart since he married my cousin. Through social media and the smiles on their faces, I was grateful to share their life together and feel truly close to Richard. He will always be in your heart, Maureen.
I believe Richard will be missed by everyone he knew him. What a great friend he was. I always thought of Maureen and Richard as what it was like to be married to your best friend.
Nobody Embrace Life more joyously then Richard.
