Dear Dad - You are sorely missed.  I miss you very much and wish to hear your voice and you call me by the nickname you picked for me since I was 4.  You were a strong man of God and an example to me and my hero in many, many ways.  I'm so glad you are with Jesus, strong again and vibrant again! Oh how I wish to see you again as the strong and powerful man you were, example of Christ like.

Dear Dad, I love and miss you very much.  You were a wonderful father and great example.  I appreciate that you taught me many things.  You taught me about Jesus and how to pray at a very young age.  I remember the nice walks we took as a kid.  You would point out the beauty of God's creation around us and how precious life was.   I wish I had more time with you.  You took good care of us.

Dear Grandpa Pete,
I miss you very much. I am so thankful that God made you my grandpa. I have been remembering all the outings you took me and Christina on to Berkeley. You always taught us about giving to others in need, you always made everyone laugh and you especially showed me what a strong and solid relationship with God looked like.

Pete Zulim was a wonderful man of God.  He was a great family man, loyal to his wife Joanne Zulim.  He was always there for us children - all of us!  He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  His work ethic was something to behold.  He loved serving people, especially those who couldn't help themselves.  He commanded attention when he walked into a room or a place of business.

It is now over a month since dad's passing.  He left us early in the morning Sunday morning on his birthday.  Dad was called home to be with Jesus on the Lord's Day.  Dad always called it the Lord's Day.  He did not ever miss Sunday service or holy days of obligation.  Dad did say it would be best to go in his sleep peacefully into the greeting arms of Jesus.  We didn't want him to go.

Dear Dad, I miss seeing you  at church.  They mentioned your name and I cried.   I could barely read when it was my turn to lecturn, but I did it.   I miss making you chocolate cakes and bringing you Chinese food.  It is not the same without you.   It is hard to meet spiritual people like you.   I went to a funeral on Saturday, but I was crying more about you than my friend.

Our father Pete Zulim was devoted to his family.  His faithfulness to always be there for us.  He always made sure the bills were paid on time, food was in the frig, we always kept the right perspective on life, which was to acknowledge that there is one God, the Creator of the Universe who is the God of love, not hate, and that we are nothing without that God, Jesus Christ in our hearts.

I remember how big and strong dad was.  His hands were like gorilla monster hands.  His grip was so strong, but yet gentle.  Dad would pick us up and throw us into the air several feet and catch us. He would always catch us.  He was always there to catch us in the things of life, providing scriptural words of wisdom, always bringing us back to the truth as to why we are here on this earth.

Pete was a very good father-in-law. I am very thankful to God that I married into the Zulim family. He was so supportive and loved his grandchildren very much. He loved being around them. They didn't irritate him. They were never too loud or annoying. He loved the children- just like Jesus did. He always told the children about the Lord and asked them if they knew the scriptures.

Dear Friends and Family - Today is the one year anniversary of dad's passing.  We went to the cemetery today and prayed for the family.  Dad would have had it no other way.  We all miss him a lot and wish we could hear his preaching to us today.  He would say, "All is vanity! Leave it to God! Trust in Him."  So, today we trust in God and pray for all of the family here still on earth. Mark

Today is September 16, 2021 and your birthday and three years since you left this earth to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  We miss you so very much.  There is not a day that does not go by when I do not think of you and remember all that you did for me and our family and the church community.
Aunt Nadine is now with you.  God bless the Zulim family
